my entry for the monthly topic in june 'underwater' over at :iconchildrensillustrator:

there's not actual story behind 'how seabras got their stripes', I just thought it's a fun title

and I should have put more work into making it look like the cover of a kiddybook *sigh* oh well, next time ;)


I'd say seabras ©me, but I bet someone had this idea before at some point :D

Hey this needs to be a book! I'm only seeing this now, five years after you posted it. I hope you wont let this idea fade away. It's just so clever! Where is this book??!!

hehe, there is no book ... no real story to it. IT's just an entry for a monthly topic for a childrens book illustrator club because back then that's what I had wanted to be and I hoped participating in the monthly topics would help me build a portfolio
but now that I look at this image again I wonder why I dropped drawing in that style ... :confused:

No book? But think of the marketing possibilities! If I were to see this cute li'l guy as a soft cuddly plushie for sale at a store or on Amazon I would instantly drop cash to have it. Mine. My Seabra. My precious. :)

too bad I don't work for a company that produces cuddly toys ... oh wait I do :giggle:
it's not the kind of thing we do though :(

perhaps I should keep it in mind and who knows what the future holds :shrug:

hmmmm... writing, well rather illustrating kiddy books is one of my dreamjobs...

What are you on about of course I'm right lol its an awsome idea, your should ask around and see if anyone can write the story and you could both kick start your kiddy book career's!!!!
